SELENE DE JESÚS PAT HERRERA
She was born in the city of Tizimín, Yucatán, on July 20, 1969, daughter of the sign painter Filomeno Pat and Nidia Herrera. She studied at the Tecnológico de Mérida (ITM) in Systems Engineering and as a Computer Programmer Analyst, since childhood, she took painting as part of her life, helping her father with signs and painting developing her taste for art, she has taken several courses and seminars to apply her techniques such as oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, graphic, among others, which she uses in her works.
She made small murals at the Kabah Primary School in Cancún, at the Jardín Bepensa in the city of Mérida, and has provided drawing and painting workshops in schools in Tizimín, such as the Prescolar Remigio, EMSAD COBAY, among others.
Throughout her training, she has had great teachers such as Mirna Mena Díaz, Filomeno Pat, Víctor Argáez, among others. She has received recognitions from the Municipality of Tizimín, Casa de la Cultura, COBAY, CBTA ISSTE Cultura, and others.
She is a painter teacher at the Lunatic Art workshop, supporting children and young people through social assistance. She teaches at private schools Crescencia Carrillo and Ancona (CCA) and at Colegio Tizimín, Casa de la Cultura, and the Community Center of the same locality.
